S.M.A.R.T. is a non-profit animal rescue group, based in the Snowy Mountain region of Australia, who work towards rescuing and caring for injured or neglected animals.

S.M.A.R.T first opened it doors to "Help the Helpless" on the 9th July 2003. Since then we have been able to help many animals big and small.

We are a dedicated group of volunteers from your local communities. Our work is done in Tumut, Batlow, Tumbarumba, Adelong, Gundagai and Talbingo. We also work closely with the Tumut Shire Pound.

Our main aim is to help animals that are in trouble one way or another. All the animals that come to us are Vet checked, Desexed, Microchipped, Vaccinated and Wormed. They all go into foster care where they are assessed for adoption. Once adopted the animal must be registered under the new owners name in their local council.
